How long does a furnace installation take?
Most furnace replacements are completed in a single day. If venting or gas-line work is needed, your installer will walk you through it during site verification, before any equipment is ordered.
Gas or electric — which should I choose?
If you have natural gas service, a gas furnace is usually the lower-cost way to heat. Electric furnaces make sense where gas isn't available, and a heat pump is often the more efficient electric option — your quote will show what fits your home.
Do you handle the permit and inspection?
Yes. Your installer pulls the permit for your local jurisdiction and handles any required inspection. It's included in the price you see.
Should I replace my AC at the same time?
If your AC is also near end of life, replacing both at once usually costs less than two separate installs and gets you a properly matched system. If the AC is newer, replacing the furnace alone is completely fine.
What efficiency (AFUE) is worth paying for?
