  • 15% of the net profit

    Net profit is what the customer paid, minus equipment and labor cost, minus the installer's share. Sales tax is never in the base. It is not a flat bounty; bigger, better-margin jobs pay more.

  • Three tiers, overrides paid by us

    You are Tier 1. Affiliates you invite are your Tier 2; the people they invite are your Tier 3, the last tier. Everyone earns 15% on their own sales. You also earn 5% of net on each Tier 2 sale and 2.5% on each Tier 3 sale. Install Direct pays the overrides; nobody's commission shrinks.

  • QR codes for print

    Download your link as a QR code, PNG for screens or a printable PDF sheet of business cards. A scan tracks exactly like a click.

  • 60-day attribution window

    A visitor who comes through your link or QR code is yours for 60 days, even if they come back later on their own to finish. Last click wins.

  • Paid when the customer signs off

    When the homeowner signs and accepts the finished install and the job is verified, your commission and any overrides are approved and paid to your bank by direct deposit automatically. No invoices, no chasing.

  • Refunds void the commission

    If an order is cancelled or refunded, the commission and the overrides on it are voided. If one was already paid, we will ask about it before anything else is paid out.

Earnings are not guaranteed. Most partners earn little or nothing; what you earn depends entirely on paid installs by real customers. Nobody is paid for recruiting, there is no fee to join, and nothing has to be bought.

Frequently asked questions

How much do I earn?
15% of the net profit on every install a referred customer pays for: what the customer paid, minus equipment and labor cost, minus the installer's share. On a $10,000 install with $4,000 of equipment, the installer's 20% share leaves $4,800 of net profit, so you earn $720. There is no cap and no cost to join.
How do the three tiers work?
You are Tier 1. Affiliates who join with your sponsor link are your Tier 2, and affiliates who join with a Tier 2's sponsor link are your Tier 3. Tier 3 is the last tier and cannot invite anyone. Everyone earns 15% on their own sales. On top of that, Install Direct pays a 5% override to the direct sponsor of the affiliate who made the sale and 2.5% to the sponsor's sponsor. Overrides never come out of anyone's commission.
Am I paid for recruiting?
No. There is no fee to join, nothing to buy, no signup bonus, and nothing is earned for inviting someone. Overrides are paid only on paid installs by real customers that your recruits refer. A team that sells nothing earns nothing.
What exactly is "net profit"?
It is the net profit (sale price after promos, minus equipment and labor cost and the installer's share). Start with the price the customer paid (before sales tax, after any promo they used), subtract the cost of the equipment, then subtract the installing contractor's share of what is left. Your commission is 15% of that number, and your portal shows it on every sale.
Can I get a QR code?
Yes. Your portal lets you download your link as a QR code: a PNG for screens and social posts, or a printable PDF, including a business-card sheet. A scan is tracked exactly like a click on your link.
Is this the same as the dealer program?
No. Affiliates are independent, link driven, and start the same day. Dealers run door-to-door sales companies: appointment setters book in-home visits, closers close in the home, and the company earns 45% of net on the team’s sales. If that is you, apply to the dealer program instead. One email can be in one program only.
When and how do I get paid?
When the homeowner signs and accepts completion of the install, and the job is verified with no open dispute or refund, your commission and any overrides are approved and sent automatically by ACH to the bank account you add in your portal (with a W-9). If you have not added a bank yet, the payment waits for you. New bank accounts have a 3-business-day safety hold before the first deposit.
How long does my link last?
Attribution lasts 60 days from the click or scan. If someone taps your link, thinks about it, and comes back three weeks later to buy, the sale is still yours. If they click a different affiliate's link in between, the last click wins.
Do I need a website?
No. Your link works anywhere: a social profile, a newsletter, a group chat, a text message, or a QR code on a card. Tell us how you plan to share it when you sign up so we can point you to the training that fits.
Can I use my own link for my own home?
No. Self-referrals, meaning your own purchases or purchases made with your email or phone number, are not paid, and they earn no overrides for your sponsors either. We check for it automatically.
Do I have to say I earn a commission?
Yes. Anywhere you share your link or QR code you must say you earn a commission, for example: "I earn a commission if you buy through my link." The FTC Endorsement Guides require it. The affiliate terms require it too, and you may not tell anyone they will earn money by joining.
Can I run search ads?
You may advertise, but you may not bid on the Install Direct name, our domain, or misspellings of them in paid search, and you may not pose as Install Direct. Full details are in the affiliate terms.
What happens if the customer cancels or gets a refund?
The commission and the overrides on that sale are voided. If one had already been paid, it is flagged and settled against the next payout after we talk to you.
How do I track my results?
Your portal shows clicks, quotes started, sales, and commission in real time, a customer list, the status of every commission and payout, and a Recruits page with your Tier 2 and Tier 3 affiliates, their sales, and your overrides.
Is this taxable income?
Yes. You are an independent affiliate, not an employee. You fill in a W-9 in your portal, and we issue a 1099-NEC if you cross the IRS reporting threshold.
